Happy Easter!

Easter Sunday was a wonderful day! The kids were excited to find their baskets that the silly Easter Bunny hid during the night.

They found all the eggs scattered in the house, now it was time to move to the backyard.

Austin seemed to know where every egg was - did he scout it out in the middle of the night??? Maybe??

Tommy still hadn't found his "basket" that the Easter Bunny hid so he was borrowing an extra.

All week Sarah had been asking me, "When will we color Easter Eggs? Are we coloring Easter Eggs today?" Well, the day finally arrived on Friday night. The only problem was little Miss Sarah fell asleep around 6...She seemed really tired so I didn't want to wake her up, but I knew that if we didn't do them on Friday night it probably wouldn't happen.

So at 7:30, I reluctantly woke her up. To my surprise she quietly and easily proceeded to color the eggs (I was worried waking her up would make for a cranky color time). We had a good time and as soon as we were done, Sarah laid back on the rocking chair and promptly fell asleep.

First Grade Field Trip

April 4, 2012

Sammy's class had a field trip today. This is my 5th trip to the science center on a field trip. It was by far the BEST!!! We actually got to go in the planetarium and view two different shows. The kids have been learning about the solar system, so it was fun. Also the person presenting the show did an amazing job!

Our group consisted of Gavin, Sammy, Austin, and Trey

Spring Training Game

Friday afternoon, I recieved a call from my friend Pat P. She had 6 spring training tickets for a game that night and asked if we wanted to go. Sure!

Fast forward a couple of hours...Austin comes home from school and runs to the bathroom. He is sick. He threw up at the end of school and continued for the rest of the evening. Tommy doesn't want to go cause he doesn't feel like it. (At the time we thought he was being "lame" but turns out the next morning he started throwing up).

Now we have 6 tickets and only 4 people to go. What should we do? Invite our "other" sons of course - Trey and Kade!

We had great seats.
