HOLY HAIRCUT!!!

HOLY HAIRCUT
February 10, 2012

Oh my, my, my...where to start with this one.  So it was a lazy Friday afternoon. Sarah was playing with her friend, Marissa.  I was reading a good book.  As I was reading I could hear them in the kitchen playing with the garbage can lid and laughing.  So I asked them in my stern mommy voice, "please stop playing with the garbage can lid.  It's annoying."  A few more giggles.

About 5 minutes later, Tiffany (Marissa's mom) shows up to take Marissa home.  Marissa walks around the corner to leave...still not noticing anything until Tiffany exclaims with surprise something like, "What happened to your hair?"

Apparently, her and Sarah took turns cutting their own hair.

Here is the garbage can full of hair.  The bulk of it being Marissa's long locks.

So then I decide to take Sarah to get her hair cut.  I find out Tiffany is at a haircut place by our house, so we head over there too.

A picture of Sarah's "tail."

Sarah watching Marissa get her hair styled.

Sarah became hysterical when it was her turn, so I ended up leaving....I stood outside the door peeking in to see what was happening.  There was no way Sarah was going to get in the chair with me there.  Sometimes it is just easier for someone other than mom to get a child to do something.  I'm glad Tiff was there to get her calmed down and in the chair.

Almost done.

Sarah wouldn't let them blow dry it, so we can home and finished it up.

We LOVE Sarah's cute style.  Marissa's is super cute as well.

Crimson Knight Baseball

Trivium Baseball Games

2011-2012 Crimson Knight Baseball Team

Tommy with a few of his teammates.

Tommy had a fun time playing on his middle school baseball team.  It was his first time playing baseball and he actually showed a lot of improvement.  A little more practice and he could be a pretty good ball player.

He got to play a little shortstop (just like his mom).

Experimenting with his stance.  He has a pretty good swing, but is still a little intimidated at the plate. The pitchers can be a little on the wild side.  Next season I think he will be a lot more comfortable.

He got hit by a pitch (which is probably why he is a little antsy at the plate).

Playing a little left field.

Baseball was fun.  It is pretty cool to watch Tommy being a 3-sport athlete (just like his mom).  Looking forward to basketball season in the spring.

Street Hockey

(Yikes!  It's almost March.  Catch up time)

STREET HOCKEY
January 20, 2012

Austin, Sammy, and Sarah have been lacing up the skates and hitting the streets.  They can be found playing hockey just about every day with our nieghbors.  They use to all share the same roller blades, but Austin and Sammy finally agreed to part with some of their hard earned money so they could have their own pair.  Sarah benefited the most because she got the old pair free of charge.

GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!

FYI - Next week (3/7) Sammy will be starting a hockey class.  He's super excited.  Also, Austin and Sammy have been playing on the school field hockey team.  This weekend (3/3), they have a tournament.
