One and Only Swim Meet

Mighty Mahi Swim Team
June 21, 2012

This year we joined the YMCA swim team.  The main reason - there are enough lanes for me to swim laps while they are at swim team practice.  I have absolutely loved it!  Due to many, many schedule conflicts we only made it to ONE swim meet this year.

I believe she is supposed to be doing freestyle, but looks a lot like breast stroke.

Love it!

Jake and Austin took 2nd place on their relay team.

Sarah amazed me...she took 1st place in her heat for freestyle.

Then she took 1st place in her heat for backstroke.

The one swim meet we went to was a lot of fun.  I think Sarah is the only one who actually enjoys swimming (and me), but they were good sports about it.  Looking forward to next season.

Trek 2012 - REMEMBER

Goodyear Stake Pioneer Trek
June 6-10, 2012

Jim and I had the priviledge of being a Ma & Pa for our stake trek.  What an amazing experience. We were the Rawbutts Family.  Our nicknames were Jim-Bob and Jenny-Bob and we ended up giving all of our "children" a Bob at the end of their name.

Family Cheer:

Literally one of the most amazing experiences of my life.  I will treasure the days I spent on trek and I will never forget the relationships formed with some amazing people.

Thundercats ROAR

Basketball Tournament
June 2, 2012
0-4

Austin joined a club basketball team in April.  They played in their first tournament in June.  They didn't win any games this time around, but all the games were close.  This is a great bunch of kids and if they stick togther they are going to be tough to beat in about 6 months.

Coaches:  Anthony, Danny

I LOVE COACH ANTHONY!!!  He is an excellent coach.  He not only teaches basketball skills, but he is teaching life skills.  He is teaching these boys to become successful men.  I'm grateful for all that he does.

Coach Anthony explaining something...he is a great communicator.

Austin #13

At the last practice, Coach Anthony gave Austin a basketball for being the first one on the team to do a drill correctly.  Austin has improved so much.  He has a long way to go before he will be at the same level as a few of the players on the team, but he is making a lot of progress.
