Austin's 10th Birthday Party
February 18, 2012
It was a few days early but we celebrated Austin's 10th birthday on Saturday, February 18, 2012. We did a combo birthday with one of his besties - Cameron. Austin's birthday is February 21 & Cameron's is February 22.
We made a target out of cupcakes for the cake. My friend, Tiff, came over and did the frosting. Awesome!
Typically I would make Austin wait until his birthday to open presents, but he needed a few of the gifts for his party. He was super excited to get two new air soft guns.
The guests started to arrive around 1pm. They were checking out the arsenal.
First, we split them into two teams and did a "Top Shot" competition. Then we headed over to a wash and had a steal-the-flag/air-soft war. As you can tell from the pictures below the boys LOVED it and they were pretty intense.
Jake
Austin
Jake Q. (you could tell he had done this before because he wore a hoodie)
Caden (but nobody outdid Caden. He was totally camoflauged and sneaking around. He was fun to watch. I definitely want him on my team).
Cameron
Even the younger kids were getting into it.
Trey
Payson
To finish things off we put a target on a pinata and had the boys shoot at it. Austin used his bow on it.
The ammo wasn't making much of a dent. Blake gave it a go up close.
So Austin decided to bang his head on it. We have smart ones in our family.
Time to open presents
Sarah and Bailey wanted to sit on their brother's laps during this part. So cute.
Time for some cake.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSTIN!!!
